🌱 प्राकृतिक रेशे — Natural Fibres
- कपास (Cotton) — कपास के पौधे से मिलती है, गर्मियों के कपड़ों के लिए अच्छी — Cotton from the cotton plant, good for summer.
- ऊन (Wool) — भेड़ के बालों से मिलती है (बाल कतरना = Shearing), सर्दियों के लिए — Wool from sheep’s hair (Shearing), for winter.
- रेशम (Silk) — रेशम के कीड़ों (Silkworms) के कोकून (Cocoon) से मिलता है, चमकदार व मुलायम — Silk from silkworm cocoons.
- जूट (Jute) — जूट के पौधे से मिलता है, बोरियाँ-रस्सियाँ बनती हैं — Jute from the jute plant, used for sacks/ropes.
- रेशम के कीड़े पालने को रेशम कीट पालन (Sericulture) कहते हैं, ये शहतूत (Mulberry) के पत्ते खाते हैं — Sericulture is silkworm rearing; they eat Mulberry leaves.
🧪 कृत्रिम रेशे — Synthetic Fibres
- ये रसायनों से कारखानों में बनाए जाते हैं — Made from chemicals in factories.
- उदाहरण: नायलॉन (Nylon), पॉलिएस्टर (Polyester), रेयॉन (Rayon) — Examples: Nylon, Polyester, Rayon.
- रेनकोट बनाने के लिए जलरोधी (waterproof) सिंथेटिक रेशा उपयोग होता है — Waterproof synthetic fibre is used for raincoats.
- रेयॉन रेशम जैसा दिखता है लेकिन लकड़ी के गूदे से बनता है — Rayon looks like silk but is made from wood pulp.
- सिंथेटिक कपड़े आसानी से नष्ट (biodegrade) नहीं होते, इसलिए प्राकृतिक रेशे पर्यावरण के लिए ज़्यादा अनुकूल हैं — Natural fibres are more eco-friendly.

- हाथ से कपड़ा बुनने की परंपरागत तकनीक को हथकरघा (Handloom) कहते हैं — Hand-weaving is called Handloom.
- खादी (Khadi) हाथ से काते और बुने सूती धागों से बनती है, महात्मा गांधी से जुड़ी है — Khadi is hand-spun cotton, linked to Mahatma Gandhi.
