- पानी और मिट्टी को बर्बाद होने से बचाना ही जल संरक्षण (Water Conservation) और मृदा संरक्षण (Soil Conservation) कहलाता है — Protecting water and soil from waste is called Water Conservation and Soil Conservation.
- पानी और मिट्टी सीमित प्राकृतिक संसाधन (Limited Natural Resources) हैं — Water and soil are limited natural resources.
- इनके बिना हम खाना नहीं उगा सकते, पी नहीं सकते और घर नहीं बना सकते — Without them, we can’t grow food, drink, or build houses.
💧 जल संरक्षण के उपाय — Ways to Conserve Water
- नल को इस्तेमाल के बाद बंद करना, टपकते नल को ठीक कराना — Turn off the tap after use; fix leaking taps.
- बारिश का पानी इकट्ठा करने को वर्षा जल संचयन (Rainwater Harvesting) कहते हैं — Collecting rainwater is called Rainwater Harvesting.
- नहाते समय शावर की जगह बाल्टी का उपयोग करना — Use a bucket instead of a shower while bathing.
- खेतों में पानी बचाने के लिए ड्रिप सिंचाई (Drip Irrigation) पौधों की जड़ों में सीधे धीरे-धीरे पानी देती है — Drip Irrigation gives water directly to roots.
- ज़मीन के अंदर मौजूद पानी को भूजल (Groundwater) कहते हैं — Underground water is called Groundwater.
🌱 मृदा संरक्षण के उपाय — Ways to Conserve Soil
- पेड़ लगाना — जड़ें मिट्टी को बहने या उड़ने से रोकती हैं — Planting trees: roots hold soil, stop erosion.
- पहाड़ी इलाकों में सीढ़ीदार खेती (Terrace Farming) से मिट्टी बचाई जाती है — Terrace Farming in hilly areas.
- हवा या पानी से ऊपरी उपजाऊ मिट्टी बहने को मृदा अपरदन (Soil Erosion) कहते हैं — Soil Erosion — top fertile soil carried away.
- एक ही जगह ज़्यादा जानवर चराने से बचना (Overgrazing रोकना) और फसल चक्र (Crop Rotation) अपनाना — Avoid overgrazing, follow Crop Rotation.
- मिट्टी को घास-पत्तों से ढकना मल्चिंग (Mulching) कहलाता है, इससे नमी बनी रहती है — Mulching retains soil moisture.

- दाँत साफ करते समय नल बंद रखना — Keep the tap off while brushing teeth.
- कपड़े धोए हुए पानी को पौधों में उपयोग करना (Reuse of Water) — Reuse washing water for plants.
- पत्तों और सब्ज़ी के छिलकों से खाद (Compost) बनाना — Make Compost from leaves/peels.
- सरकार पानी बचाने के लिए “जल शक्ति अभियान” जैसे कार्यक्रम चलाती है — Govt runs programs like “Jal Shakti Abhiyan”.
- हर एक व्यक्ति के छोटे प्रयास मिलकर बड़ा फर्क लाते हैं — Everyone’s small efforts together make a big difference.
